The Plan
Can you believe it? It’s been over 20 years since a group of former Wah-Tut-Ca Staff and OA Officers formed the Key Foundation. The Key Foundation was incorporated in December of 1987, a few months later at the Windsor Restaurant in Dracut TKF held it’s first meeting. So in February of 2008 almost to the day, friends, founders, and brothers will celebrate an amazing journey.
In this time the Lodge, Council and even the restaurant has changed their names, but the spirit of The Key Foundation remains a constant. Actually we’ve grown! Consider all TKF has accomplished from that first Patrick A. Doyle NOAC Scholarship in 1988 to the Andrew Curry Green Boathouse! If you just consider the last year, with the publication of “Wah-Tut-Ca Scout Reservation”, Vervaert Grants, FStar Productions, Nanepashemet Lodge and Yankee Clipper Council support then throw in a $120,000 Boathouse, well there sure seams like we have enough reasons to have a party!
This years Annual Dinner has an outstanding program. It starts off with our annual Art Auction and continues through an evening of refection, recognition and fun. At this dinner two leaders in Nanepashemet Lodge will be honored with the Craig Ryder West Wind Award for Excellence. Additionally the Foundation will recognize its 2007 Diane Livoli fellow who worked at Wah-Tut-Ca.
Just incase you need another reason to attend, the Key Foundation will announce it’s next “major project” to begin this summer after the completion of the Andrew Curry Green Boathouse. (Hint: What do you get when you combine Water + History+ Wah-Tut-Ca?)
